San Marino

San Marino is a dwarfish state located in Southern Europe. This is the oldest territory with a rich history and the best traditions of the Old World. The area of San Marino is small - only 61 square kilometres. It is surrounded by Italy on all sides, so the inhabitants of San Marino speak Italian. The population is 32,5 thousand people. Nevertheless, the state records the largest life expectancy in Europe and the highest GDP. The key factors of the economy are industry, tourism, financial sector (banks, intermediation, insurance) as well as free registration of foreign companies. San Marino is a full-fledged European jurisdiction, which encourages foreign investors to open companies in this country.

Advantages

The main advantage of opening a company in San Marino is certainly financial stability. The country has signed a bilateral agreement on the automatic exchange of information with Italy and a number of other states, thereby confirming its readiness to pursue a transparent economic policy. The government strongly encourages the opening of new companies, so foreign owners can easily get a grant to open a business.

Offshore companies registered in San Marino are not subject to taxation and currency control. You can open a company within two weeks. The founder of the company may be a natural or legal person. It is enough to have one shareholder and one director for registration. There are also opportunities for businessmen to buy offshore.

Nominal service is used to preserve confidentiality. It means that the owner can use the services of a nominal director, having issued a general power of attorney.

The government of the Republic of San Marino closely cooperates with the Italian authorities, especially in the banking and taxation spheres. A foreigner who has a registered company in San Marino can open an account with a classic offshore bank or in any first class bank in Europe.
